Nepali Romanized Typing
Type Nepali phonetically in English letters and get Devanagari.
Try these
Write every vowel you hear
Two consonants typed together get joined with a halanta. If the word actually has a short “a” sound between them, type it — otherwise you get a conjunct you did not want.
kaaThmaaDauM
काठ्माडौं
Joined — not what you wanted
kaaThamaaDauM
काठमाडौं
Correct — the “a” is written

About this tool
Type Nepali the way it sounds — "namaste" becomes "नमस्ते" — and get standard Unicode Devanagari you can paste anywhere. The easiest way to write Nepali if you have never learned a Nepali keyboard layout.
This is a phonetic typing helper, not a translator — it converts how a word sounds in Roman letters into Devanagari script. Type Nepali words, not English ones.
Proofread before anything official. Roman input cannot distinguish every Nepali sound: श, ष and स all sound like “s”, and इ and ई both sound like “i”. The typing guide below shows how to reach each one explicitly, but for documents, names and official forms, read the output before you use it.
