About this tool
Type using the traditional Nepali typewriter layout — the same key positions as Preeti — and get proper Unicode Devanagari instead of legacy font text. Includes an on-screen keyboard so you can see which key produces which character.
This is the layout Nepali typists already know — the same key positions as the Preeti font and the Nepali typewriter. The difference is that you get Unicode out, so the text works in browsers, phones, search and email rather than only in documents with Preeti installed.
Proofread before anything official. The key mapping covers ordinary text well, but rare conjuncts and some punctuation may come out wrong. Read the output before using it in a document that matters.
